My first digital photo

A view from the window of a house looking across the rooftops of houses opposite. A few cars are parked in the street below, but no people are visible in the photo. The sky appears cloudy but is washed out in the photograph.

When discussing first digital cameras, Rob sent me a link to his first digital photo. I had a look back and this was mine. I clearly recognised the significance of this photo because buried in the metadata of the image was the caption you see above. Taken: 2003-05-27 @ 11:42:47

It was taken on my first digital camera the Casio EXILIM EX-S3. This credit card sized camera was 3MP and carried a 2’’ LCD screen. When placed on a charging dock, the camera turned into a mini photo display. Incredible for 2003.

A product shot of the Casio EXILIM EX-S3 digital camera. The camera is standing upright the lense facing towards the viewer. To the left of the lens, a small view finder and a flash. Just below the lens and slightly to the left, four tiny microphone holes. The body of the camera is finished in a brushed metal effect.

What was your first photo? If you share the image, send me a link. I’d love to see.
